We are not only following conventional ways of drug discovery, but also seeking for new modalities for future medicine.

We are focusing on infectious diseases and pain/CNS disorders as core therapeutic areas to create innovative medicines. We are also studying on geriatric diseases and other frontier areas.

We have built up a company-wide management system based on the Shionogi Group EHS Policy, whose EHS activities embrace not only the Group but also its supplier partners.

In research, the Shionogi Pharmaceutical Research Center (SPRC), the center of the Shionogi Group’s research functions, has continued to serve as a platform through which we have further strengthened the coordination and productivity of our drug discovery.
