Awareness on infectious diseases
SHIONOGI recognizes "Protect people from the threat of infectious diseases" as one of the social issues we should tackle, and we are dedicated to providing solutions from the perspective of total care for infectious diseases. As part of these efforts, we are actively engaged in promoting and educating about accurate knowledge regarding infectious diseases, their prevention, and the societal issues surrounding them.
<Collaboration between international NGOs and SHIONOGI>
●Initiatives with World Vision Japan(WVJ)
Through collaboration between the international NGO WVJ and SHIONOGI, hand hygiene classes are held for elementary school students to prevent infections. By collaborating with WVJ, which has a wealth of experience in supporting developing countries, and SHIONOGI, which is specialized in infectious diseases, we hope that it will be an opportunity for children to become aware of the SDGs by thinking as their own problems about measures against infectious diseases and issues in developing countries.
