Launching the Ointment Container Collection and Recycling Program

Starting September 15, 2025, Shionogi Healthcare Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Co., Ltd. and Tanabe Pharma Corporation, has launched a collection and recycling program for used ointment containers (plastic containers and aluminum tubes) at drugstores in Osaka Prefecture. This program is the first in Japan to implement the recycling of used ointment containers. The collected containers will be converted into raw materials and used as new recycled resources. We will contribute to the realization of a circular society by establishing a resource circulation model that begins with the recycling of ointment containers.
