We have recently confirmed the existence of a fake Facebook account impersonating as Chief Executive Officer Isao Teshirogi, Ph.D.
The fake accounts use usernames such as "Isao Teshirogi" and images of Teshirogi, but neither SHIONOGI nor Teshirogi himself owns or operates Facebook accounts and is not affiliated with them in any way.
By clicking on the URL or following the instructions in a DM (direct message) sent from a fake account, the recipient's personal information may be obtained and misused.
If you receive a suspicious DM from an account pretending to be our company or Teshirogi, please do not click on the URL, delete the DM, and block the fake account to prevent any damage.
As soon as we discover a fake account, we contact Facebook and take measures such as reporting spam and reporting that the account is an imposter account.
There is also a possibility that other similar fake accounts exist, so please be sure to check the username and other information.
